Frequently Asked Questions

What if less guides attend the sleepover than anticipated?

This is fine, it happens quite often. On the day of the event you will be charged the remaining balance for the final number of guiders who attended  the event. For example, if you paid the 50% for 20 attendees (which is 10)  and only 15 attended the sleepover, you will only be charged for the remaining 5 scouts. We will not reimburse you if your expected attendance goes below 50%.

Does THEMUSEUM have an emergency evacuation procedure?

Yes, THEMUSEUM has an emergency response plan for the night of the sleepover. Two staff members will stay on site overnight to act as emergency coordinators. You will receive the emergency response plan one week prior to the event.

Do you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?

THEMUSEUM does our best to accommodate dietary restrictions if we are informed of them in advance. Please include any allergies and dietary restrictions on your registration form. All of the snacks served during the sleepover will be nut free.

Will you be providing full meals for the guides and supervisors?

No. We ask that all guides and supervisors eat dinner before arrival. THEMUSEUM will provide a light  evening snack of juice, granola bar, fruit or similar and a continental breakfast for all participants. We encourage everyone to bring a refillable water bottle to fill at our water stations in the building.

Are your staff first aid certified?

Yes. Most of THEMUSEUM staff are First Aid certified and at least one the overnight staff will have their up to date certification.

What if one of my guides will not be staying overnight?

That is fine, they can be picked up at any time, just let the staff at the front desk know so they can watch out for the door. Please note, that the price for the guide will be the same as the ones who are staying overnight.
