Day Camps are a long-standing children’s program at THEMUSEUM. Since 2008, our campers have had a fantastic time at THEMUSEUM! We aim to awe, inspire and enlighten through our engaging educational camp programs in person.
Currently, we offer two main camp streams, our Day Camps (ages 5– 10) and The Underground Studio MakerSpace Camps (ages 10 – 14) for Winter Break, March Break, PD Days and Summer Break.

Shimmering Seas
Dive into an underwater world where campers explore colourful coral reefs, glowing bioluminescence, fascinating ocean animals, hunt for hidden pirate treasure, and so much more! The incredible STEAM-based week ends with a special visit from our resident pirates to share stories and sea secrets!

Once Upon a Castle
July 6 – 10 & Aug 10 – 14
Fantasy meets history in this medieval-themed camp that takes campers back in time! Children will learn about castles, knights, princesses, and everyday life in the Middle Ages while creating themed crafts and exploring how tools, building, and design shaped medieval worlds.
Magic & Mystery
July 13 – 17 & Aug 31 – Sept 4
Calling all young witches and wizards! Campers will explore the wonder behind “magic” through hands-on experiments, creative crafts, and imaginative play. From making wands and potions to discovering how science can look just like magic, this camp is full of surprises..
Alien Explorers
July 20 – 24 & Aug 17 – 21
What’s beyond our sky? Blast off into space as campers explore planets in our Star Lab, invent funky and silly alien worlds, and learn what makes Earth a place where humans can live and thrive. A perfect mix of imagination, exploration, and discovery.
Under the Big Top
July 27 – 31 & Aug 24- 28
Step right up! Campers will jump into the exciting world of the circus, learning about balance, movement, and performance while clowning around with fun challenges, tricks, and playful illusions. Expect lots of laughter, creativity, and big top fun.
Movie Magic
Aug 4 – 7 (4 Days Only – Civic Holiday)
Lights, camera, imagination! Campers will explore how movies are made, from early films to colourful modern favourites. They’ll discover different genres like superheroes and comedy, and older campers will even create their own movie to share at the talent show.
The Underground Studio MakerSpace Camps
THEMUSEUM’s Underground Studio MakerSpace opened in 2016 as a place for people of all ages to explore making, tinkering and hands-on learning. The Underground Studio MakerSpace camps are designed to challenge and develop the skill sets of our older campers giving them a chance to learn and experiment with a variety of topics.

March Break Camp
STEM-Buccaneers
Arr Matey! It be time for pirate camp! In this camp, the campers will learn all about piracy through STEAM learning. They will learn all about different famous pirates, how they lived and navigated on the open ocean, and the types of equipment they used to do it. Campers will build their own light up treasure chest using an Arduino, create a spyglass to solve a treasure hunt, and build a quadrant for their own sea navigation.

Time Traveller’s Workshop
July 13 – 17 & Aug 10 – 14
Campers build their own time-travel gadget and use it all week to explore STEM innovations from ancient civilizations to futuristic science. Through hands-on building and problem-solving, they discover how ideas from the past inspire today’s technology and the future.
The Cryptid Research Lab
July 20 – 24 & Aug 17 – 21
Campers investigate legendary creatures like Bigfoot and the Yeti to uncover the real science behind myths and unexplained phenomena. Using footprint forensics, 3D modeling, and motion-sensor builds, they blend creativity and critical thinking in this imaginative STEM adventure.
STEM at the Circus
July 27 – 31 & Aug 24- 28
This high-energy camp combines circus magic with STEM as campers explore physics, balance, light, and motion behind classic circus tricks. They’ll build Ferris wheels, light-up carousels, masks, puppets, and more in a hands-on, creative experience.

Makers and Mages
Aug 31 – Sept 4
Inspired by Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Dungeons & Dragons, campers create their own fantasy character and magical artifacts. Projects include Arduino crystal balls, custom wands, masks, and world-building that blend storytelling, art, and technology.

Redeem Camp Credit
If you are redeeming a camp credit, please register your child as normally. When you get to the final page for payment, please send an e-mail to Camps@THEMUSEUM.ca with your name and child’s name and we will apply the credit.
Registration Process
Note that ALL Day Camps and The Underground Studio MakerSpace Camps registrations will be processed online through our CampBrain portal.
To register your child(ren) for any of our camps please click the CampBrain Registration link and follow the instructions below.
- Log in to your existing CampBrain account or sign-up as a new user.
- Create profiles for each child that you’d like to register for camp and indicate your membership status.
- Select the camps you’d like to enrol in and add them to your cart.
- Complete the necessary forms and submit credit card payment.
- Review your confirmation email for further details and a copy of your tax receipt.
First-time registration will take approximately 20 minutes. Forms need only to be completed once per season. Forms will auto-populate from previous seasons but can be updated when enrolling for a new season.
Tax Receipts
Tax receipts for all camp registrations from Summer 2019 onward are emailed to you at the time of booking and are also available through your CampBrain Profile. The document listed as “Household Account Statement” will act as your tax receipt.
Requests for Tax Receipts can take 5-10 business days to process. Calling our Visitor Services desk will not expedite the process.
If you require a Tax Receipt for camp registrations before Summer Camp 2019, please email us at Camps@THEMUSEUM.ca and include the following information:
- Your child’s full name
- Your child’s date of birth
- The year(s) that your children were registered for our camps
- The camp season(s) (i.e. PD Day, March Break or Summer)
- The session(s) or dates of your registration

Refund/Cancellation Policy
Registration: Registration is accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Payment must be received at the time of registration.
The Underground Studio MakerSpace registrations close seven days before the start of camp.
Cancellations must be received at least two weeks prior to the camp date in order to receive either camp credit for the full amount or receive a 50% refund of the total cost. Cancellations after the fourteen-day cut-off are not eligible for any refunds. Free transfers are available to another date/week depending on availability.
Any requests for camp cancellations or transfers must be emailed to Camps@THEMUSEUM.ca with the subject line: “Camp Cancellation – Camper’s Name”
