Journey from the red rocks of Utah to the river-cut cliffs of Maryland in a 360 virtual reality cinematic expedition that follows real paleontologists as they chase clues across deep time. Unearthing brings you face to face with the ancient worlds these scientists study—from forests ruled by Allosauruses to oceans where Megalodons once hunted in the dark. Along the way, you’ll see what it truly takes to excavate and prepare fossils: the patience, the precision, the problem-solving, and the moments when a single brushstroke reveals a creature not seen for millions of years. The film transports you back into lost ecosystems and explores the mysteries scientists are still trying to solve about dinosaurs, their environments, and the world they left behind.

Then the journey becomes your own. In a shared VR theatre, the audience steps together into the landscapes you’ve just watched on screen. You’re suddenly standing on the dig site next to the paleontologists, surrounded by cliffs, scrub, and the whisper of ancient history beneath your feet. You feel the scale of the prehistoric life these teams study, the quiet tension of a fossil emerging from rock, and the awe of imagining the animals that once thundered—or swam—through these same places.
