Organization Prepares To Grow With Community
THEMUSEUM is delighted to announce the appointment of six new members to its Board of Directors: Hilde Bouckenooghe, Richard Cantin, Michael Emrich, Kevin Kerr, Nikhil Raveendranathan, and Jaime Wilson.
The six were formally added at THEMUSEUM’s Annual General Meeting on November 19, 2025. Each brings unique experience and expertise to the organization and continues to reflect the diverse community THEMUSEUM serves.
Additionally, Solene Jollivet, a recent graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Department of Knowledge Integration and former Outreach & Administrative Manager, will join a committee to apply her knowledge in advancing THEMUSEUM’s mission.
Over the past several years, THEMUSEUM has seen sustained funding and strengthened municipal support as part of the City of Kitchener’s commitment to a vibrant cultural ecosystem. This momentum positions THEMUSEUM to plan boldly for the future, deepening its role as a hub where art, technology, and community intersect. Building on more than 20 years of world-class exhibitions, immersive experiences, and future-focused programming, THEMUSEUM is doubling down on its Art & Technology @Play vision, ensuring that audiences of all ages continue to engage with creativity, curiosity, and innovation.
As THEMUSEUM looks to the future, Chief Executive Officer David Marskell says he’s “delighted and proud to be serving under such a stellar group of individuals. Their range of expertise is impressive, and I know each one will prove to be an asset for THEMUSEUM’s growth in a growing community.”
THEMUSEUM’s new Directors were welcomed by a strong and accomplished Board that continues to guide the organization’s strategic direction. At their first meeting following the AGM, new Officers were elected. The new Board of Directors follows:

New Board Member Biographies:
Hilde Bouckenooghe – A mission-driven professional working with international education, strategic partnerships, and cross-cultural consultancy, bringing 25+ years of global leadership experience. Bouckenooghe holds a Master’s in Contemporary History and is a skilled multilingual communicator. Known for building impactful alliances across academia, industry, and the nonprofit sector, Bouckenooghe is passionate about contributing to community empowerment and equity.
Richard Cantin – An award-winning Cross-Industry Executive Leader with Board/Governance Experience. Cantin brings success across corporate, start-up, turnaround, and high-growth scenarios.
Michael Emrich – A community-focused leader working with relationship bankers to help build better companies and communities in Southwestern Ontario. Known for guiding exceptional teams, Emrich creates meaningful impact across the region.
Kevin Kerr – Prepared academically as a wildlife biologist and holds a Ph.D. in Zoology. Kerr completed post-doctoral fellowships at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and the Royal Ontario Museum before serving as a curator at the Toronto Zoo. Engaged in the impact assessment of free-choice learning centres, Kerr brings deep expertise in science communication and public learning environments.
Nikhil Raveendranathan – A technology and business leader with 18+ years of experience at Siemens, Google, and Apple, driving innovation at a global scale. Raveendranathan is skilled in aligning technical execution with strategic goals, guiding organizations through growth and change. With strengths in governance, cross-functional leadership, and mentoring, Raveendranathan is passionate about contributing to community organizations that foster creativity, learning, and diverse voices.
Jaime Wilson – A visionary Senior Executive working with not-for-profit strategy and community impact, bringing 20+ years of experience in the sector. Wilson applies strong financial acumen and a growth-oriented mindset to drive meaningful results that improve communities. Known as a solutions-focused, team-first leader, Wilson brings strategic and decisive leadership to every role.
Committee Member, Solene Jollivet – A creative, people-centric bilingual (French/English) manager with 4+ years of experience in marketing and administration. Jollivet is passionate about collaborating with teams that strategically engage the community through meaningful educational initiatives. Known for a collaborative and community-focused approach, Jollivet supports programming that strengthens learning and fosters connection.
